Lady Diablos Mission Statement
 The mission of the MVHS Girls Basketball Program is to use the game of basketball to help each student athlete develop life skills in goal setting, leadership, priorities, hard work, wise decision making, TEAM CircLe mOVEment mentality, discipline, diversity, and competition.
The development of these life skills can then be utilized to help mold and develop into well rounded young ladies. The qualities and skills they have learned on the basketball court will help them be productive and successful well rounded leaders for the rest of their lives. This mission will be accomplished by:  Encouraging all student athletes that they are a student in the classroom first and then a student on the basketball court second.Each coach and student athlete will encourage each other to promote the TEAM: (Together Everyone Achieves More) CircLe mOVEment mentality. Simply stated, TEAM LOVE is defined as: "Less me, and more WE!"Encouraging each Lady Diablo to compete like a champion each and every game with fierce and aggressive competitiveness. "In the end, win or lose, you play and know without a doubt...that you have competed like a CHAMPION!MVHS girls coaching staff will coach participants at all levels to develop their basketball skills, basketball IQ, and fundamentals through participation in basketball drills, practices, team discussions, league games, and tournaments.We hope to enhance the girls’ personal life by providing an atmosphere that will help the student athlete gain confidence, leadership skills, strong work ethics, sportsmanship, and responsibility.We will promote to each student athlete the importance of team camaraderie throughout the program both on and off the court. Each level is expected to cheer, help, and encourage one another during practices, tournaments, and games. Off the court, we expect the student athlete to encourage one another to strive for excellence in the classroom and to help one another make wise decisions during their high school years at MVHS.The student athlete will be expected to volunteer during fundraisers, community outreach programs, and all team activities.The student athlete will have access to quality coaching, facilities, equipment, practice time, and other resources to enhance their high school basketball experience.The coaches of Mission Viejo High School Girls Program are dedicated to helping every student athlete achieve their goals if they are willing to put in the hard work on and off the court. TEAM  I have awed at a solo performance, And spectacular flashy display, But I crave for the best And my eyes are more blessed, When an unselfish team makes a play. A play that’s so perfect and simple,
With the weaving of a role with a role-
Every piece partly seen,
Like a fine-tuned machine,
And you notice not one, but the whole.
Like an orchestra tuned to perfection,
Where harmonious beauty is found,
Every note has a quest-
To be part of the rest,
So the whole is a masterpiece sound.
Every wild one, once blinded by glory,
Is now cured and is one of the tame.
He receives his esteem,
As part of the team,
And is eager to sacrifice fame.
It’s amazing what teams have accomplished.
It’s astounding how much they have done,
When the ultimate call,
Is when one is for all,
And the credit is reached for by none.
